US Patent Issued to Hoffmann-La Roche on Sept. 23 for "Hydropyrido[1,2-Alphapyrazine compounds for the treatment of autoimmune disease" (Chinese, Swiss Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,421,229, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. (Little Falls, N.J.).

"Hydropyrido[1,2-Alphapyrazine compounds for the treatment of autoimmune disease" was invented by Jianguo Chen (Shanghai), Fabian Dey (Zurich), Hongtao Xu (Shanghai), Weixing Zhang (Shanghai) and Wei Zhu (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds act as antagonists of the toll-like receptors TLR7, TLR8 and/or TLR9 and are thus useful in the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis."
