ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,606, issued on May 27, was assigned to Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. (Little Falls, N.J.).
"Nucleic acid constructs for VA RNA transcription" was invented by Ulrich Goepfert (Penzberg, Germany) and Simon Auslaender (Wolfratshausen, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Herein is reported a novel adenoviral VA RNA nucleic acid wherein the wild-type type 2 polymerase III promoter has been removed and an U6-snRNA promoter or an inducible promoter has been added."
The patent was filed on Oct. 13, 2021, under Application No. 17/500,778.
