ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,539,987, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to HITACHI LTD. (Tokyo).
"Airport for vertical take-off and landing aircraft" was invented by Hironobu Yamakawa (Tokyo), Takahiro Ito (Tokyo), Mikio Bando (Tokyo) and Nobuyasu Kanekawa (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An airport for a vertical take-off and landing aircraft includes three or more windbreak walls that extend radially about a reference axis, and three or more take-off and landing areas for the vertical take-off and landing aircrafts, which are partitioned by two adjacent windbreak walls among the three or more windbreak walls."
