ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,800, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to Hinoman Ltd. (Netivot, Israel).
"Bacterial cultures for increasing vitamin B12 in plants" was invented by Miri Lapidot (Lehavim, Israel), Ilan Sela (Ein HaBesor, Israel) and Monica Colt (Rehovot, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bacterial culture is disclosed which comprises Rhizobium bacteria having a nucleic acid sequence at least 99% identical to the nucleic acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1. Uses thereof are also disclosed."
The patent was filed on Feb. 25, 2021, under Application No. 17/801,604.
