According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hoist point anchor includes a base where the base has a contact surface for contacting a flat ceiling and where the base has a plurality of anchor holes emerging at the contact surface for receiving a plurality of respective anchor bolts for anchoring the base to the flat ceiling. A wire rope forms a wire rope loop for attaching a hook where the wire rope loop is attached to the base. The base passes through the wire rope loop."
