ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,331,054, issued on June 17, was assigned to HiberCell Inc. (New York).

"Perk inhibiting imidazolopyrazine compounds" was invented by Mark J. Mulvihill (New York), An-Hu Li (New York) and Matthew David Surman (Albany, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are compounds, compositions, and methods useful for inhibiting PERK and for treating related conditions, diseases, and disorders."

The patent was filed on Aug. 28, 2020, under Application No. 17/639,183.
