ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,277,854, issued on April 15, was assigned to HEXMODAL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (Brooklyn, N.Y.).

"Automated testing of emergency lights" was invented by Christopher Hariz (Granada Hills, Calif.) and Utkarsh Shah (Barrington, R.I.).
