ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,446,178, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP (Spring, Texas) and Southco Inc. (Concordville, Pa.).
"Electronic device ejection mechanism with selectively disableable ejection function" was invented by Brian Eunsup Lee (Suisun City, Calif.), Vance Brey Murakami (Los Gatos, Calif.), Harold Zin Htutt (Fremont, Calif.) and Richard E. Schlack (Newark, Del.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electronic device may comprise a chassis and an ejection mechanism coupled to the chassis. The chassis can house an electronic component and can be removably received within a system chassis of an electronic system. ...
