ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,315,685, issued on May 27, was assigned to Hewlett-Packard Development Co. LP (Spring, Texas).
"Specialized keyboard keycaps" was invented by Wei-Min Liang (Fountain Valley, Calif.) and Huaichung Hsu (Fountain Valley, Calif.).
