ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,469,105, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Hewlett Packard Development Co. LP (Spring, Texas) and Purdue Research Foundation (West Lafayette, Ind.).

"Image upsampling" was invented by Xiaoyu Xiang (Palo Alto, Calif.), Qian Lin (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Jan Allebach (West Lafayette, Ind.).
