US Patent Issued to Heartland Consumer Products on April 8 for "Cold brew coffee beverage and method of making the same" (Indiana Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,268,222, issued on April 8, was assigned to Heartland Consumer Products LLC (Carmel, Ind.).

"Cold brew coffee beverage and method of making the same" was invented by Teodor H. Gelov (Carmel, Ind.), Ricardo Reyes Trevino (Carmel, Ind.), Megan Leigh Sawyer (Indianapolis), Peter Deyun Kim (Indianapolis) and Kent Crosby (Greenwood, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are processes for making cold brew beverage compositions including concentrates and apparatus for preparing cold brew beverage compositions. The disclosed processes and apparatus allow for efficient, rapid, industrial scale production of cold brew beverage compositions...
