According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mounting device functions to support a connection process of at least one module of a modular circuit board connector to at least one connection element. The mounting device comprises at least one base plate and at least one tongue arranged essentially perpendicular on the base plate and running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base plate. The tongue is at least partially designed to received the at least one module."
