ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,494, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Hand Held Products Inc. (Charlotte, N.C.).
"Dual mode label printer" was invented by Sean P. Kearney (Marlton, N.J.), Christopher T. Wiencek (Moorestown, N.J.), Yang Zhang (Berwyn, Pa.), David E. Chaney (Charlotte, N.C.), Ramanathan Alaganchetty (Singapore) and Yongxing Shu (Singapore).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printer that includes a presenter bar, a first tear bar positioned proximate to the presenter bar, and a second tear bar that is configured to move from a first position to a second position is provided. The first position is closer to the first tear bar than the second position."
