US Patent Issued to HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND on Nov. 11 for "Ram air fan including additively manufactured heat exchanger insert" (Massachusetts, Connecticut Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,467,469, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Ram air fan including additively manufactured heat exchanger insert" was invented by Craig Beers (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Brent Merritt (Southwick, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A ram air journal bearing shaft includes an additively manufactured body having a main body portion and a journal bearing portion. The main body portion and the journal bearing portion are coaxial along a first axis.
