ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,091, issued on May 13, was assigned to Hamilton Sundstrand Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).
"Heat exchanger with header embedded cooling channels" was invented by John T. Sypek (Bolton, Conn.) and Anthony Emilio DeVita (Enfield, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger core including a cold side and a hot side. The cold side directs a first cooling fluid from a cold inlet to a cold outlet. The hot side directs a hot fluid from a hot inlet to a hot outlet.
