ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,604, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Halliburton Energy Services Inc. (Houston).

"Fluoroplastic expandable liner hanger elements for geothermal and corrosive environments" was invented by Chad W. Glaesman (Singapore) and Sandeep Thatathil (Singapore).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Some implementations include a system comprising a radially expandable sealing device positioned in a wellbore proximate to a subsurface formation and one or more fluoroplastic sealing elements positioned on an exterior of the radially expandable sealing device."
