ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,540,532, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to Halliburton Energy Services Inc. (Houston).

"Hoop stress reducer in perforating guns" was invented by Christopher C. Hoelscher (Alvarado, Texas).
