ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,828, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Halliburton Energy Services Inc. (Houston).
"Biopolymer shale inhibitors and methods of making and using same" was invented by Sohini Bose (Houston), Jay Deville (Houston), William W. Shumway (Houston) and Preston Andrew May (Houston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method includes contacting subterranean shale with a treatment fluid, wherein the treatment fluid comprises (i) a biopolymer, (ii) a polyamine, and (iii) an aqueous base fluid, and compositions relating thereof."
