US Patent Issued to Halliburton Energy Services on April 22 for "Gear system for drive arm of tractor" (Singaporean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,696, issued on April 22, was assigned to Halliburton Energy Services Inc. (Houston).

"Gear system for drive arm of tractor" was invented by Simon Whye Kwong Wai (Singapore) and Shiao Loong Tang (Singapore).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gear system is provided for a wheel of a tractor. The gear system includes a plurality of planet gears and a plurality of rollers. The planet gears are operable to rotate to provide tractive force to the wheel. The rollers are operable to abut against an inner ring of the wheel to reduce a contact force from the wheel contacting a channel on the plurality of planet gears."
