ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,246,964, issued on March 11, was assigned to HALDOR TOPSOE A/S (Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark).
"On demand hydrogen from methanol" was invented by Peter Molgaard Mortensen (Roskilde, Denmark), Kasper Emil Larsen (Humlebaek, Denmark), Kim Aasberg-Petersen (Allerod, Denmark) and Robert Klein (Roskilde, Denmark).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A reactor system and a process for carrying out the methanol cracking reaction of a feedstock comprising methanol to hydrogen are provided, where the heat for the endothermic methanol cracking reaction is provided by resistance heating."
