ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,454,907, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to H2DIESEL INC. (Lewes, Del.).

"System and method for using concentrated oxygen for gas intake into an internal combustion engine" was invented by John S. Petterson (La Jolla, Calif.) and John L. Haller (La Jolla, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and systems for enhancing fuel combustion in an engine (which may be a standard gasoline engine, a diesel engine or a hydro-diesel engine) by using an oxygen concentrator to remove nitrogen from the air to produce a concentrated oxygen gas that is fed into a gas intake of the engine's combustion chamber.
