ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,384,836, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to H. Lundbeck A/S (Valby, Denmark).

"Treatment of headache using anti-CGRP antibodies" was invented by Roger K. Cady (Bothell, Wash.), Jeffrey T. L. Smith (Dublin), Joseph Hirman (Bothell, Wash.), Barbara Schaeffler (Bothell, Wash.) and Lahar Mehta (Valby, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for immediate relief of migraine or headache are provided comprising the administration of an anti-CGRP antagonist antibody to a patient in need thereof."
