US Patent Issued to GSI Technology on June 3 for "Satellite imagery" (Israeli Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,322,121, issued on June 3, was assigned to GSI Technology Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

"Satellite imagery" was invented by Elona Erez (Tel Aviv, Israel) and Avidan Akerib (Tel Aviv, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for detecting changes between two temporally different images includes an image divider, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) feature encoder, an image alignment system, a feature comparator, a CNN feature decoder and segmenter, and a block combiner.
