ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,496,665, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Griswold Controls LLC (Irvine, Calif.).
"Flow control valve" was invented by Stefan I. Tuineag (Irvine, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A valve in which the flow control element includes a fixed disk and a rotatable disk, and a motor operable to rotate the rotatable disk. The motor is disposed in the bore of the valve, aligned with the long axis of the valve body and the axis of rotation of the rotatable disk."
The patent was filed on Sept. 20, 2023, under Application No. 18/471,179.
