ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 7 -- United States Patent no. 11,892,098, issued on Feb. 6, was assigned to Greenheck Fan Corp. (Schofield, Wis.).

"Airflow balancing valve with actuator" was invented by Cory Robert Bacorn (Marion, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An airflow valve may comprise a plate assembly located inside an airflow conduit. An actuator may be attached to, and/or otherwise fixed relative to, a plate of the plate assembly. The actuator may be coupled to the airflow conduit. If activated, the actuator may react against the airflow conduit to induce rotation of the plate."
