ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,322,812, issued on June 3, was assigned to Greenerity GmbH (Alzenau, Germany).
"Fuel cell electrode, catalyst-coated membrane, fuel cell, and method for producing the fuel cell electrode and catalyst-coated membrane" was invented by Matthias Binder (Gelnhausen, Germany), Aline Jarofski (Geiselbach, Germany) and Jens-Peter Suchsland (Alzenau, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fuel cell electrode includes a metal-containing catalyst and a proton-conducting ionomer, wherein the fuel cell electrode has a halide concentration of 50 to 1000 ppm, based on the total mass of the fuel cell electrode."
