"Methods of preparing dual-indexed DNA libraries for bisulfite conversion sequencing" was invented by Anton Valouev (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Arash Jamshidi (Redwood City, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods of preparing dual-indexed nucleic acid libraries for methylation profiling using bisulfite conversion sequencing. In various embodiments, the methods use a two-step indexing process to tag bisulfite-treated DNA with unique molecular identifiers (UMIs)."
