ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,450,823, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Google LLC (Mountain View, Calif.).

"Neural dynamic image-based rendering" was invented by Keith Noah Snavely (New York), Zhengqi Li (Jersey City, N.J.), Forrester H. Cole (Cambridge, Mass.), Richard Tucker (New York) and Qianqian Wang (Berkeley, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for rendering a new image that depicts a scene from a perspective of a camera at a new camera viewpoint at a given time point in a video."

The patent was filed on Nov. 20, 2023, under Application No. 18/515,024.
