ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,380,349, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to GOOGLE LLC (Mountain View, Calif.).
"Moderation of user-generated content" was invented by Luca de Alfaro (Mountain View, Calif.), Ashutosh Kulshreshtha (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Mitchell Slep (San Francisco), Nicu Daniel Cornea (Santa Clara, Calif.), Sowmya Subramanian (San Francisco) and Ethan G. Russell (Jersey City, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and method for updating and correcting facts that receives proposed values for facts from users and determines a correctness score which is used to automatically accept or reject the proposed values."
