ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,327, issued on June 10, was assigned to GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLC (Detroit).

"Energy transfer among mismatched battery systems" was invented by Mohamed Ahmed Kamel Ahmed (Birmingham, Mich.), Lei Hao (Troy, Mich.) and Chandra S. Namuduri (Troy, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An energy transfer system includes a conversion device configured for partial power processing and configured to regulate current from a first battery system, and a controller configured to control the conversion device to adjust a first voltage of the first battery system to conform the first voltage to a second voltage of a second battery system,...
