ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,619, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLC (Detroit).
"Lighting device for a vehicle" was invented by Bradley Allen Newcomb (Troy, Mich.), Jonglee Park (Novi, Mich.) and Julien P. Mourou (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of the disclosure include a vehicle having a glass disposed on the vehicle and a lighting device disposed within the glass, wherein the lighting device includes a plurality of light emitting diodes that are configured to emit light in a first direction, where the first direction is not normal to an outer surface of the glass."
