ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,584, issued on July 15, was assigned to GLOBAL BIOLIFE INC. (Bethesda, Md.).

"Composition and method of controlling infectious diseases with functional fragrances" was invented by Daryl L. Thompson (Winter Haven, Fla.), Nicholas A. Van Rees (Kirkwood, Mo.) and Thomas A. Meyer (St. Louis).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composition comprises Beta-pinene, borneol, cinnamic aldehyde, citral, d-limonene, eucalyptol, eugenol, farnesol, linalool, thymol, and vanillin.
