ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,384, issued on May 27, was assigned to GLAXOSMITHKLINE BIOLOGICALS SA (Rixensart, Belgium).
"Modified meningococcal fHbp polypeptides" was invented by Maria Scarselli (Siena, Italy) and Daniele Veggi (Siena, Italy).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides mutated fHbp polypeptides and fusion proteins comprising said mutated fHbp polypeptides that are useful as components of immunogenic compositions for immunizing against Neisseria meningitidis infection."
