ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,533,001, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Glatfelter Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).
"Unitary nonwoven material" was invented by Richard Booker (Arlington, Tenn.), Thomas J. Cavanaugh (Cordova, Tenn.) and Jacek K. Dutkiewicz (Cordova, Tenn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Nonwoven materials having at least one layer comprising cellulose fibers are provided. The nonwoven materials comprise bonded natural cellulosic fibers having high capillary action. The nonwoven materials are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including absorbent products and pre-moistened cleaning materials with metered release of liquid."
