ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,386, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Gisela Cowan-Bondick (Concord, Mass.).
"Tennis net cover" was invented by Gisela Cowan-Bondick (Concord, Mass.) and Timo Joerg Siebert (Sudbury, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An example apparatus includes a covering that is opaque and straps to attach the covering to a tennis net. The straps are configured to attach the covering below a top tape of the tennis net. The apparatus is weighted so that, after attachment to the tennis net, a height of the tennis net is unchanged."
