ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,577, issued on July 15, was assigned to Gilead Sciences Inc. (Foster City, Calif.).

"Pharmaceutical formulations and uses thereof" was invented by Kimberly T. Barrett (Pacifica, Calif.) and Elaine Bunyan (San Francisco).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Pharmaceutical formulations, particularly solid oral dosage forms (e.g., tablets) comprising (i) the compound of Formula I in an amount of about 40 wt % to about 70 wt %, (ii) a filler, (iii) a disintegrating agent, (iv) and a lubricant are disclosed, as are uses thereof."

The patent was filed on Feb. 2, 2024, under Application No. 18/431,038.
