ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,384,821, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to George Mason University (Fairfax, Va.).
"Antimicrobial peptides and compositions, methods, articles and kits relating thereto" was invented by Monique L. van Hoek (Centreville, Va.) and Barney M. Bishop (Annandale, Va.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Peptides are described herein, in particular peptides having antimicrobial properties, as are compositions, articles, and kits comprising such peptides, and methods for using the peptides."
