US Patent Issued to GENTHERM on July 1 for "Air-conditioned vehicle seat" (Canadian, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,139, issued on July 1, was assigned to GENTHERM GMBH (Odelzhausen, Germany).

"Air-conditioned vehicle seat" was invented by Shane Greenwood (Walled Lake, Mich.) and Sai Battula (Windsor, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A vehicle seat, an air conditioned vehicle seat, and an air conditioning system for a vehicle seat that includes an air mover attached to a first side of a connecting member of the vehicle seat; a gasket attached to a second side of the connecting member; and an air distributor provided adjacent to the gasket on the first side of the connecting member.
