ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,252,498, issued on March 18, was assigned to GENTEX Corp. (Zeeland, Mich.).
"Electrochromic devices having a buffer system" was invented by Kelly Baumann (Zeeland, Mich.) and Garret DeNolf (Zeeland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A compound represented by the structure of Formula (I), or a salt thereof suitable for use as a buffer in an electrochromic device is disclosed."
The patent was filed on April 19, 2023, under Application No. 18/303,326.
