ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,450, issued on July 1, was assigned to GENIPHYS INC. (Zionsville, Ind.).
"Biologic filler for restoring and regenerating tissue" was invented by Sherry L. Voytik-Harbin (Zionsville, Ind.) and Theodore J. Puls (Carmel, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compositions and methods for filling tissue voids and defects with a self-assembling biopolymer configured to form a shape-retaining matrix are described."
