US Patent Issued to Genentech on Aug. 19 for "Methods of making fucosylated and afucosylated forms of a protein" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,769, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Genentech Inc. (South San Francisco, Calif.).

"Methods of making fucosylated and afucosylated forms of a protein" was invented by Shahram Misaghi (Clayton, Calif.), John B. Lowe (San Francisco) and Bradley Richard Snedecor (Portola Valley, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present application relates to methods of producing a protein in fucosylated and afucosylated forms at a predetermined ratio."

The patent was filed on Sept. 25, 2023, under Application No. 18/474,014.
