US Patent Issued to Genentech, Novartis on July 29 for "Process for concentration of antibodies and therapeutic products thereof" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,510, issued on July 29, was assigned to Genentech Inc. (South San Francisco, Calif.) and Novartis AG (Basel, Switzerland).

"Process for concentration of antibodies and therapeutic products thereof" was invented by Charles M. Winter (Belmont, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a process for concentrating proteins including an ultrafiltering, a diafiltering, and a second ultrafiltering sequence, at elevated temperatures, such as above about 30deg C. The disclosure also includes a process for preparing highly concentrated antibody compositions, and highly concentrated antibody products."
