ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,709, issued on July 1, was assigned to GenEdit Inc. (South San Francisco, Calif.).
"Cationic polymer and use for biomolecule delivery" was invented by Kunwoo Lee (Berkeley, Calif.) and Santanu Maity (Berkeley, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a polymer comprising a structure of Formula (1): (1) and a method of preparing said polymer. Also provided is a composition comprising the polymer and a nucleic acid and/or polypeptide, and a method of delivering a nucleic acid and/or polypeptide to a cell."
