ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,254, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Gen-Probe Inc. (San Diego).
"Compositions, methods and kits for detecting Mycoplasma genitalium" was invented by Brett W. Kirkconnell (San Diego), Barbara S. Weinbaum (La Jolla, Calif.), Damon K. Getman (Poway, Calif.) and Alice Jiang (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to oligonucleotides useful for determining the presence of Mycoplasma genitalium in a test sample. The oligonucleotides of the present disclosure may be incorporated into hybridization assay probes, capture probes and amplification primers, and used in various combinations thereof."
