ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,267, issued on July 15, was assigned to Gen-Probe Inc. (San Diego).

"Compositions and methods for amplifying, detecting or quantifying human polyomavirus BK virus" was invented by Ankur Shah (San Diego) and Meghna Yadav (Carlsbad, Calif.).
