"Encapsulated oven window pack" was invented by Brian Adams (Vincennes, Ind.) and Michael Schwall (Knoxville, Tenn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a glass assembly having a plastic frame and two glass panes in spaced parallel arrangement, wherein at least one of the glass panes is encapsulated within the plastic frame.
