ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,437,957, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to GE PRECISION HEALTHCARE LLC (Wauwatosa, Wis.).
"X-ray cathode shield" was invented by Kevin S Kruse (Muskego, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various systems are provided for a cathode of an X-ray imaging system. In one example, a shield assembly for a cathode comprises a first shield part and a second shield part, the first shield part and the second shield part spaced apart such that the first shield part and the second shield part are not in direct physical contact."
The patent was filed on April 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/296,943.
