ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,308,199, issued on May 20, was assigned to GE PRECISION HEALTHCARE LLC (Wauwatosa, Wis.).
"X-ray cathode focusing element" was invented by Kevin S. Kruse (Muskego, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various methods and systems are provided for a cathode of an X-ray imaging system, the cathode comprising a cup and a ceramic insulator having a convex outer surface mating with corresponding pockets on the cup surrounding the ceramic insulator."
The patent was filed on March 8, 2022, under Application No. 17/654,046.
