ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,899, issued on April 29, was assigned to GE Infrastructure Technology LLC (Greenville, S.C.).

"Trailing edge cooling circuit" was invented by Brandon Lee Cox (Greenville, S.C.) and David W. Weber (Simpsonville, S.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An airfoil includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, a pressure side wall, and a suction side wall. The pressure side wall and the suction side wall each extend between the leading edge and the trailing edge. A camber axis is defined halfway between the pressure side wall and the suction side wall.
