ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,675, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC (Wilmington, N.C.).

"Shielded electromagnetic pumps for nuclear reactors" was invented by Mohammed Shutayfi (Wilmington, N.C.).
